Question 1: What is the Pythagorean Theorem? You should use words, pictures, symbols and numerical examples.
The Pythagorean Theorem is that you could find the hypothenus (c) on a right angle triangle by taking the height of the triangle (a) squared and add the base (b) squared. Take the sum and find the square root of it and that is how you find the hypothenus. A2+B2=C2




















Question 2: How do you find the surface area of a right rectangular prism? You should use words, pictures, symbols and numerical examples
To find the surface area (SA) of a right rectangular prism you take times length (L) + hight (h) and multiply by 2 then you add L + width (w) multiplied by 2 then add width + length multiplied by 2.

2(L+W)+2(H+L)+2(H+W)

ex: Length = 10 Width = 15 Hight= 20

2(10+15)+2(15+20)+2(10+20)
70+70+60=SA
200=SA



Question 3: How do you find the surface area of a right cylinder? You should use words, pictures, symbols and numerical examples. SA= 2 pi R2 + 2pi Rh

To find the surface area of a cylindar you would have to imagin the cylindar unravaled. you would have to find the surface area of first the circles and then the rectangle.
TO find the circles' you take pi multiplied by the radius squared then multi;ply it by 2
Then you add the surface area of the rectangle. pi times the radius and the hight of the cylindar then multiply that by 2.
EX. Hight= 5cm
radius=2
3.14(pi)x 4= 12.56x2=25.12 +
3.14x2x5x2=62.8
add together and you get 87.92

(If you have a diameter you just divide it by 2 then you get your radius)






Question 4: What is a polygon and how do we classify one?












A polygon is a shape with many closed line segments in a complete circuit.


There are 4 types of polygons: regular, equiangular, irregular and equilateral .





Regular: all lines are equal and all sides are the same length. A regular polygon is also both a equiangular and a equilateral polygon.


Irregular: A polygon where the angles and sides are unequal.





Equiangular: All the angles in the polygon are equal.





Equilateral: All the sides in the polygon are equal.
