Question 1: What is the Pythagorean Theorem? You should use words, pictures, symbols and numerical examples.

The Pythagorean Theorem was named by a Greek mathematician Pythagoras. Its a formula use to find the hypotenuse of a right triangle.






Question 2: How do you find the surface area of a right rectangular prism? You should use words, pictures, symbols and numerical examples.

A right rectangular prism is a 3-D (3 dimensional) shape that has 6 faces that are rectangles.




Question 3: How do you find the surface area of a right cylinder? You should use words, pictures, symbols and numerical examples.

A right cylinder is a 3-D object that consists of two circles that are exactly parallel from each other and are connected to a tube.




Question 4: What is a polygon and how do we classify one?

Polygons are 2-D shapes made out of line segments. There are two different types of polygons.

The first type of polygons are regular polygons. They are shapes that don't cross over them selves, the sides are the same lengths and they have the same angles.

The second type of polygons are the irregular polygons. They are shapes that have different lengths of sides and have different angles.
